    For the experienced ceramics students who want more studio time. An experienced moderator is available; however, this is not an instructional program. Students are expected to clean-up after themselves, including the wiping down of the tables and wheels at the end of the studio time, as well as cleaning and returning pottery tools to their assigned storage locations.     142156 - The Art of Knitting

    Learn the foundation of skills needed to make beautiful hand knit items and current fashion trends such as scarves and fingerless gloves. In this course you will learn the basics such as casting on and off and the knit and purl stitches. We will then move on to more advanced skills as knitting in the round, yarn overs and increasing and decreasing. We will also discuss fundamentals such as determing guage and reading a pattern. Fun take home projects throughout the 6 week course allow you to continue practicing and showcase your new skills. An $8 supply fee is due to the instructor at the first class, which will purchase knitting needles and yarn to get started. Additional supplies will will be purchased by the participant as the class progresses based on individual projects selected.
